Refectory Info
Located right at the heart of University campus, the contemporary Refectory venue offers a wide range of hot and cold food each day.
Located right at the heart of University campus, the Refectory offers a wide range of hot and cold lunch options. From classic Italian options to familiar chicken dishes, to the make-it-yourself Deli counter, the Refectory has an extensive range of lunch options.
For those seeking international-style dishes, the World Food section includes, curries, noodles, Gyros and rice bowl options. Don’t forget to try our latest addition, the ‘Nourish’ counter, offering vibrant dishes like lemon and coriander poached salmon, chargrilled chicken, roasted cauliflower steaks and stuffed butternut squash.
On the menu
Breakfast
Choose from a range of hot options, including a full cooked breakfast or bowl of wholesome porridge, or choose a continental breakfast, including cereal, yogurt, fruit and freshly baked pastries. Served daily, 8am to 11am on weekdays and 10am to 11:30am on weekends.
Chicken, Burgers and Hot Wraps
One of our most popular counters, serving up delicious southern fried and plant-based chicken burgers, strips meals and hot wraps.
Deli
Made to order wraps, flatbreads and sub rolls. Choose from a variety of filling options or build your own combo to create a personalised deli masterpiece.
Jacket Potatoes & Soup
Lunchtime favourites! Enjoy a jacket potato with your choice of hot or cold fillings or warm up with our soup of the day, served with artisan bread for dipping.
Flavours
Build your own bowl with favourites like Malay griddled chicken, bang bang cauliflower and char sui pulled pork. Simply pick your base, topping and sauce! Flavours also offers express noodle options too.
Street Food Bowls
Enjoy a selection of global inspired bowl food, including a selection of meat and plant-based curries and express noodles.

Our journey through world cuisine continues with Italian inspired dishes. Enjoy thin crust pizza with a variety of toppings and homemade pasta dishes, including the Refectory’s famous lasagne.

Roastology Coffee

A selection sandwiches, wraps and salad boxes, available as part of a meal deal with a selected snack and drink. Perfect to fuel your day on the move with the standard deal starting at £4.50.

The Refectory not only serves delicious hot and cold food throughout the day, it also becomes an iconic music venue at night!
Music legends, such as The Rolling Stones, Elton John and Bob Marley, have all graced this venue with their presence. Perhaps the most famous live recording ever made – The Who Live at Leeds – was also recorded here.
