1. What is the Barista Drink Subscription?

The Barista Drink Subscription is a flexible subscription that allows students, staff and visitors to enjoy up to 5 regular barista-made drinks per week from Great Food at Leeds outlets. The subscription automatically rolls over each week unless cancelled and can be paid for with app credit or directly by card.

2. Who can sign up for the subscription?

The subscription is available to all University of Leeds students, staff and visitors.

3. What drinks are included?

The subscription covers the following drinks, hot or iced in a regular size:

Coffee – americano, latte, flat white, mocha, cappuccino, espresso and chai latte
Matcha (all flavours)
Tea
Hot Chocolate

Not included:

Large drinks
Smoothies

4. Where can I use my subscription?

You can use your subscription at all Great Food at Leeds cafés and the Refectory. Check out our cafes for a full list of outlets.

5. How much does it cost?

Introductory offer: £5 first week

Standard subscription: £10 per week

6. How do I sign up?

Subscriptions can be purchased via the GFaL Rewards app.

7. Can I cancel or pause my subscription?

Yes, a subscription can be cancelled anytime. Once purchased for the upcoming 7 days, a refund is not possible. Once opted out, the subscription will not automatically rollover.

8. Can I still use my KeepCup for the Barista Drink Subscription?

Yes! Subscribers are encouraged to use reusable cups.

9. Can I share my subscription with someone else?

Subscriptions are non-transferable within the app. However, we encourage subscribers to treat their friends and colleagues by sharing their subscription. The drinks must be redeemed by the named on the account the subscription was purchased on.

10. What happens if I lose access to my account or ID?

11. Can I use multiple drinks at the same time?

Yes! If you’d like, you can use all your free drinks at the same time. So feel free to treat your friends and colleagues to a hot or iced drink.

12. Are syrups included?

No. Syrups are not included and incur an additional charge. This does not apply to matcha flavours. All of these pre-made flavours are included in the subscription.

Milk alternatives are included as part of the subscription.

13. Can I use a Barista Drink Subscription with other offers?

No. The Barista Drink Subscription cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers.

14. How can I see the number of drinks I’ve redeemed?

It’s easy to track how many drinks of the five you’ve already redeemed. Simply click onto the ‘active subscriptions’ button on the GFaL Rewards app homepage and then onto your subscription. There you will see how many drinks (items) you have used in the past 7 days.
