Refectory Info
Located right at the heart of University campus, the contemporary Refectory venue offers a wide range of hot and cold food each day.
Our food is freshly prepared on campus each day by our team of chefs. We offer a wide range of options inspired from across the world, including made to order work noodles, deli wraps, tossed salad, southern fried chicken, street food bowls, daily specials and more.
On the menu
Breakfast
Choose from a range of hot options, including a full cooked breakfast or bowl of wholesome porridge, or choose a continental breakfast, including cereal, yogurt, fruit and freshly baked pastries. Served daily, 8am to 11am on weekdays and 10am to 11:30am on weekends.
Chicken, Burgers and Hot Wraps
One of our most popular counters, serving up delicious southern fried and plant-based chicken burgers, strips meals and hot wraps.
Deli
Made to order wraps, flatbreads and sub rolls. Choose from a variety of filling options or build your own combo to create a personalised deli masterpiece.
Jacket Potatoes & Soup
Lunchtime favourites! Enjoy a jacket potato with your choice of hot or cold fillings or warm up with our soup of the day, served with artisan bread for dipping.
Tossed Salad
A wide selection of nutritious ingredients to choose and build your own tossed salad.
Daily Specials
The specials counter rotates each day, offering plenty of choice throughout the week. Enjoy a hearty, home-style meal, such as roast chicken, potatoes and seasonal vegetables or fish, chips and mushy peas, a customer favourite available every Friday.
Street Food Bowls
Enjoy a selection of global inspired bowl food, including a selection of meat and plant-based curries and express noodles.
Pizza & Pasta
Our journey through world cuisine continues with Italian inspired dishes. Enjoy thin crust pizza with a variety of toppings and homemade pasta dishes, including the Refectory’s famous lasagne.
Hot Wok
Vegetable and noodle stir-fry made to order with your choice of meat, fish or tofu and sauces. It’s worth the wait!
Loaded Fries & Nachos
No street food offer would be complete without loaded fries! Choose from skinny fries, sweet potato fries or nachos, if you prefer. Available with a variety of hot and cold toppings.
Costa Coffee
Enjoy a freshly brewed cup of Costa Coffee with a choice of delicious cakes and sweet treats.
Food to Go
A selection sandwiches, wraps and salad boxes, available as part of a meal deal with a selected snack and drink. Perfect to fuel your day on the move.

The Refectory not only serves delicious hot and cold food throughout the day, it also becomes an iconic music venue at night!
Music legends, such as The Rolling Stones, Elton John and Bob Marley, have all graced this venue with their presence. Perhaps the most famous live recording ever made – The Who Live at Leeds – was also recorded here.
