Staying topped up on campus has never been easier.

GFaL Rewards Credit is the convenient new portal for anyone, including friends and family, to upload food and drink credit to a GFaL Rewards account.  

Credit can be spent on any product offered across our 12 GFaL outlets. This includes our award-winning meals in the Refectory, as well as barista-curated drinks in our GFaL cafés. 

With no limit on topping up, the secure portal suits every request – so whether it’s credit for coffee & cake between lectures, or hot lunches for the whole term, we’ve got you covered.

How to upload

  • LOGIN USING GFaL REWARDS ACCOUNT DETAILS

    GFaL Rewards account ID: This can be found in ‘my details’ on the GFaL Rewards app.  

    Email: This is the email address which is registered to the GFaL Rewards account you wish to top up. 

  • ADD FUNDS

    Click add funds, enter or pick the chosen amount, then select proceed to payment. It’s as simple as that! 

     

Frequently Asked Questions

Both the GFaL Rewards account ID and the email associated with an account can be found in the ‘my details’ section of the GFaL Rewards app. If you are topping up someone else’s account, they will need to provide you with these details.  

While there are options for how much can be uploaded through the portal, there is no limit on how much credit can be uploaded – if you are looking to upload an amount not specified, select ‘other’ when present with the top up amounts and then freely enter the desired amount. 

There is no limit on how frequently the portal can be used. So, whether it’s monthly allowance, a weekly budget or coffee funds, the portal can suit all requirements. 

Credit will be available in the recipient’s GFaL Rewards account immediately after payment is taken. Sometimes it may require the account holder to refresh their app before the updated credit total shows on the home page.  

Anyone can use the portal. It is designed for both GFaL Rewards app users wanting to top up their account online, as well as anyone wishing to upload credit to someone else’s GFaL Rewards account. 

Nope! Everyone can upload credit or have credit uploaded to their account, this includes students, staff and visitors of the University.  

All available payment options are displayed in the footer of the portal. Most recognise card providers are accepted, and Google / Apple Pay are also available. Unfortunately, cash cannot be accepted as a payment method for topping up through the portal. 

Added an extra zero by mistake? Don’t worry, just get in contact with our team through gfal@leeds.ac.uk and in the instance that an overpayment is made, we can arrange a refund.  

Absolutely! When you purchase any food and drink in GFaL outlets you will receive 3 points for every £1 spent, plus a virtual stamp on your in-app loyalty card, when you purchase a brewed or blended drink.
