Recording Customer Details: How we use your information

To support NHS Test and Trace (which is part of the Department for Health and Social Care) in England, University of Leeds has a duty to collect and keep a limited record of staff, customers and visitors who come onto our premises. If someone tests positive for COVID 19 then NHS Test and Trace can request access to a log of all people who were present in a venue at a specific time.

The University of Leeds will keep your data for 21 days; a 3rd party service provider will also hold the data that you enter on the form. We have a Data Processing Agreement in place which governs how they may process and delete your data.

Once you have provided us with your data we will share it with the NHS Test and Trace service if they require it. We will not use it for any other purpose. You do have numerous rights in accordance with data protection legislation.
